Once Morgan had finished his duty with the U.S. Army, he found gainful employment as a pharmacist in a few different pharmacies in Jersey City, New Jersey. Unfortunately, Morgan also found the retail pharmacy business to be unfulfulling, but a job nonetheless. But during the tumultuous 1960’s, race rioting was sweeping the nation’s cities and it had found it’s way to Jersey City. Morgan and three others in the pharmacy literally ran out the back door as rioters broke down the front door.  This event was a turning point in Morgan’s career.  He would never return to the word of retail pharmacy.  There had to be something more fulfilling…..
